Interscholastic athletics at Liggett play an important role in a student’s educational experience and all students are encouraged to participate. Participation in athletics provides students the opportunity for personal growth in a number of areas including: commitment, leadership, sportsmanship, responsibility and teamwork. In addition, athletics provide an avenue for common experiences to be shared by students, coaches, faculty, parents, alumni and friends all of which build school spirit and community. |

Lacrosse ties, loses

Knights hosted Regina on May 9. They played a tight and tough game, aiming to hold the ball and take the smart shot. At halftime it was 3-3, and Knights controlled the draws, had clean groundball pick-ups and generated a controlled offense. The game ended in a 9-9 tie.

Lacrosse beats Rochester

With one sub on the bench, the Knights played strong and earned a 10-9 win over Rochester last week.
