Girls' swim team has strong state meet

The girls’ swim team finished 6th out of 36 teams at the Division 3 state finals. The girls were led by Sophie Housey, who was named to the MISCA “Dream Team” for her first
place finish in the 200 freestyle. Housey is the only Division 3 swimmer who appears on the Dream Team; see a full list here. Housey also won the 100 freestyle, and led the relay teams to 6th (200 medley relay) and 8th place (400 freestyle relay) scoring finishes.

Ginger McMahon also had an outstanding state meet, scoring in four events. She won the 100 breaststroke, was second in the 200 individual medley, and was a member of both relay teams. Harisen Davis, Sophia Herman, and Ariana Herman were also members of the scoring relay teams.

There is a 20-minute video recap of the state swim meet on YouTube. Division 3 coverage begins at the 5:40 mark and the first University Liggett School mention is at the 7:30 mark.
