University Liggett School graduate to be featured on hit CBS TV show
University Liggett School graduate Antonio Cipriano ’18 will star in an upcoming episode of the CBS hit “God Friended Me.” In the episode, titled “Trouble with the Curve,” Cipriano plays Derek a star pitcher for a high school baseball team. He is deciding whether to pursue the minor leagues or go to college after high school. For his audition video for the show, Cipriano, who loves baseball almost as much as singing and acting, filmed himself pitching at the Boll Campus Center with Mickey Walkowiak ’19 as his catcher.
While at University Liggett School, Cipriano was active with the Liggett Players - performing in Orphan Train, Young Frankenstein, the 25th Annual Spelling Bee and Hello, My Baby.
Cipriano spent the second half of his senior year at University Liggett School in Massachusetts as a cast member of Alanis Morissette’s musical “Jagged Little Pill.” The show, which announced it, will make its Broadway debut in the fall, had a 10-week run last spring and summer at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA. Cipriano played Phoenix and performed in the ensemble in the production.
Cipriano’s episode, “Trouble with the Curve,” is currently scheduled to air on CBS on Sunday Feb. 17. Check your local listings for the station number and time.
