We consider the playing field an extension of the classroom, and gauge athletic achievement not only on the outcome of games, but sportsmanship, continued improvement, and leadership.

Athletics leads to lifelong healthy lifestyles and physical well-being while teaching self discipline, sacrifice, respect, cooperation, loyalty and pride in teamwork. Interscholastic athletics begin in grade five and nearly 80% of our students participate in the Middle School program.

Upper School at Liggett offers more than 20 varsity sports and five junior varsity sports with 75% of students participating on at least one team.
Liggett has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including eight turf fields, eight tennis courts, an ice arena, and gymnasium. We are proud to have consistently won conference, district, regional and state championships and have many student-athletes and teams that have received academic honors based on coaches’ associations standards.
