Ice Hockey - Varsity Girls
2019 - 2020
Liggett has a long and proud tradition of hockey, with the girls team gaining considerable recognition and acclaim in recent years.
The team is comprised of dedicated, competitive athletes who bring a strong work ethic and desire to succeed and improve during each practice and game.
The coaching staff focuses on individual skills, conditioning, as well as a broader team strategy in order to best prepare the players for competition.
In recent years, many Liggett hockey players have matriculated to top Division I, II, III, and club-level college programs. The girls practice each day in McCann Ice Arena, located right on Liggett’s campus.
McCann is one of the foremost scholastic ice rink facilities in the state of Michigan.
Liggett Hockey competes in the Michigan Metro Girls High School Hockey League with many other similarly-sized schools throughout Michigan. Liggett is also a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
