Cross Country at University Liggett School is a coed sport where boys and girls train together but compete in separate races. Athletes race in 5K events, facing off against teams from across the state at various parks and geographically diverse venues.
In 2021, the girls' cross country team claimed the MHSAA Regional Championship, while the boys' team finished as Regional Runner-Up. Both teams qualified for and competed at the 2021 State Championship held at the Michigan International Speedway, showcasing their talent and determination on a state level.

Katie Sime With over 20 years of running experience and several seasons coaching the Cross Country team at University Liggett School, Coach Katie Sime is a dedicated leader who embodies the spirit of excellence that ULS values. In addition to her role as head coach, Katie serves the ULS community as a Lower School Physical Education teacher, where she fosters a love for fitness and movement in younger students. |
