Launching in the fall of 2025, the Institute for Innovation in STEM at University Liggett School will be a transformative space dedicated to nurturing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. Housed in a reimagined facility at the very heart of our campus, this dynamic hub will serve all divisions of our school, fostering creativity, inquiry, and collaboration across disciplines. The Institute is designed to spark curiosity and ignite students' passions for discovery, providing them with an innovative and supportive space to excel.
At ULS, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education is not just a subject — it's a journey of discovery that starts in our Early Childhood program and continues through 12th grade, shaping students into creative problem-solvers and critical thinkers.
In our Early Childhood program, we harness children's innate curiosity, blending STEM principles with hands-on learning to ignite a lifelong love for exploration. As students advance to Lower School, they dive into exciting challenges like coding and robotics, developing teamwork, resilience, and the confidence to tackle complex problems.
Middle School brings even greater opportunities for exploration, where students apply STEM in real-world contexts through innovative design projects, empowering them to think creatively and collaboratively.
Middle and Upper School students have access to our dedicated makerspace lab, where they put their design, innovation, and problem-solving skills to the test.
By Upper School, students are equipped to pursue their passions in advanced STEM fields, engaging in rigorous research and cutting-edge projects that prepare them for future careers and global challenges. From Early Childhood to 12th grade, ULS students emerge as leaders ready to make a meaningful impact on the world.
