Early Childhood Beyond The Classroom

IN THIS SECTION

At University Liggett School, learning for our youngest students extends far beyond the classroom. Our Early Childhood Program is designed to nurture curiosity, instill confidence, and create a sense of belonging in every child.

Through enriching activities like outdoor exploration, community events, and collaborative play, children develop essential skills while building meaningful connections with their peers and the world around them. Our educators thoughtfully design opportunities outside the classroom to complement in-class learning, fostering creativity, resilience, and social growth.

We also recognize that supporting young learners means supporting their families. Our program provides professional guidance and resources to help families navigate the early childhood years with confidence.

A World of Discovery - Enrichment Classes

EARLY CHILDHOOD LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Our Early Childhood Program goes beyond foundational academics by introducing weekly enrichment classes designed to support holistic growth and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Each class offers unique opportunities for children to explore new skills and interests, develop creativity, and build confidence in a fun and engaging environment.

Immersive Learning in the Great Outdoors

We embrace the transformative power of unstructured play and outdoor learning. Daily outdoor playtime in safe, age-appropriate playgrounds encourages gross motor development, social connections, and imaginative play. Our outdoor classrooms and gardens complement indoor learning, offering hands-on experiences that ignite curiosity and foster a deep connection to nature.

Belonging to a Vibrant School Community

Our Early Childhood students thrive as part of a larger, dynamic school community. Purposeful interactions with older students and access to shared resources like science labs, athletic facilities, and art spaces provide a rich, interconnected learning experience. These moments of collaboration and exploration cultivate a sense of belonging and inspire curiosity about the broader learning journey ahead.
