A World of Discovery
LOWER SCHOOL BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
Expanding Skills Across Disciplines - Lower School Resource Classes
Lower school students participate in a variety of resource classes designed to enrich their education and help develop different areas of intelligence. Teachers collaborate for a cross-disciplinary approach which enhances classroom learning.
Hands-on Experiential Learning
Experiential learning is at the heart of our curriculum. Field trips to museums, historical sites, and nature centers, along with visits from guest speakers, help bring lessons to life and foster learning connections. Collaboration with older and younger peers fosters a culture of mentorship, empathy, and mutual respect, as students learn from one another.
After-School Adventures - Where Fun and Learning Continue
Our After-School Enrichment Program provides students with exciting opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and engage in activities that inspire creativity and growth. With a variety of offerings designed to spark curiosity and build confidence, students can immerse themselves in their passions and discover new ones. These programs provide a supportive and engaging environment where students can grow, connect with peers, and explore their full potential beyond the school day.
ULS participates in the FIRST family of robotics programs, including FLL Explore (1st-3rd grades), FLL Challenge (4th-5th grades).
